"I wish to speak a word for Nature, for absolute freedom and wildness, as contrasted with a freedom and culture merely civil, to regard man as an inhabitant, or a part and parcel of Nature, rather than a member of society. I wish to make an extreme statement, if so I may make an emphatic one, for there are enough champions of civilization: the minister and the school-committee, and every one of you will take care of that." - Thoreau

Going - Going - Gone. I spend a lot of time out in the wilderness of the West while it is still there. I see it disappearing and have a strong desire to document it before it becomes a thing of the past. The beauty of the natural world is staggering - more material than I could present in a lifetime. The moods and contrasts are infinite, from an arrangement of rocks in a stream to massive, glacier crowned mountains, the majesty of the wild places of the world will forever inspire me to create.

Colorado and the Rockies. Where each turn of the trail offers new and exciting vistas. From the mountains to the valleys, an artist always finds something fresh to inspire him.
