The late afternoon sun warms Summit Lake in the Bridger Wilderness after a brief
thundershower. A short hike over the ridge brings you to the
headwaters of the Green River.

Fall in the Sangre De Cristo range in southern Colorado paint the
mountainsides with brilliant color and set the peaks aglow.
|
The forests of the high country in the Bridger Wilderness, Wyoming, are an
enchanted place, harkening back to the remnants of the last ice age.

The majestic cliffs along the Pacific on northern Oregon's coastline are
constantly assaulted by the wind and waves. The soft volcanic rock
is continually changing.

In the Bridger Wilderness there are 1200 lakes. Most of them are small
and unnamed, as is this little treasure found on a ten minute afternoon
walk from Dean Lake.

Deep in the woods of the Bridger Wilderness, Wyoming the sun filters down
through the trees, lending a cathedral feeling to the surrounding forest.

Along the Oregon coast the tide brings in a wealth of creatures and materials
left in shallow pools, leaving a microcosm of
sea life behind for discovery by the passing beachcomber.

The canyon bottoms in southern Utah are alive with colorful plants and flowers in
the spring.
|
The fall storms in the Sangre De Cristo range in southern Colorado veil the
mountains with a glowing mist and light the valleys with a golden glow.

Early morning at Neil Lake in the Bridger Wilderness throws the distant hills
into blazing yellow/orange light, heralding another perfect hiking day.

The winter sun on the hillsides in the Colorado mountains lights up the landscape
in a blaze of color.
